1) AN HONEST ASSESSMENT    

Take a detailed look at the areas of your practice that are of particular concern. Which areas are a threat to your long-term viability? Identify the problems that need to be solved first.

2) EVALUATE AVAILABLE RESOURCES   

People, knowledge, tools — do you have the right combination of resources to tackle the problems you’ve identified? If so, map out a plan and timeframe for implementing change. If not, weigh your options for outside help. 

3) ESTABLISH CLEAR GOALS   

You can’t start a journey without a destination. What are your clinic’s goals for revenue, patient care, growth, and so on? Set those goals, then craft a plan to reach them.
